The Pittsburgh Steelers activated veteran offensive tackle Max Starks from the physically unable to perform list.

Starks, who has been recovering from an ACL injury, has been with the Steelers since they chose him in the third round of the 2004 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-8, 345-pounder has played in 107 career games (80 starts).

The Florida product has won a pair of Super Bowls with the Steelers.

Pittsburgh also signed rookie running back Jason Ford and placed running back John Clay on the waived/injured list.
