The Chicago Bears signed linebacker Xavier Adibi on Saturday.

The 27-year-old Virginia Tech product appeared in four games with Minnesota last season, following three successful years with the Houston Texans, during which he totaled 68 tackles and two forced fumbles in 34 games.

In addition, the Bears inked linebacker K.C. Asiodu and defensive end Aston Whiteside, waived defensive tackle Ronnie Cameron and cornerback Jeremy Ware and placed defensive end Alex Brown on the reserve/retired list.

Asiodu last played in the regular season two years ago, and has made 11 appearances with the Rams and Saints in 2009 and 2010.

Brown was a part of the Saints' 2010 title squad, having recorded 39 tackles and a pair of sacks in 16 games that year, his last in the NFL. Over a nine- year career, the Florida product and Bears' 2002 draft pick totaled 411 tackles, 45 1/2 sacks and five interceptions in 143 games for Chicago and New Orleans.
