China swept the table tennis gold medals at the London Olympics after winning the men's team competition Wednesday.

China shut out South Korea 3-0 in the gold medal match behind singles wins by individual gold medalist Zhang Jike and Ma Long, and a doubles victory by Zhang and individual silver medalist Wang Hao.

It was the second straight Olympics that China swept the table tennis events.

In addition to the men's team and Zhang, the Chinese also got gold medals from women's singles champion Li Xiaoxia and the women's team.

China's medal haul for the sport here was six. Only two other countries won more than one medal -- Germany and Singapore, with two bronzes apiece.

The Germans beat Hong Kong 3-1 in the bronze medal match Wednesday behind two wins from Timo Boll and one by Dimitrij Ovtcharov.
