Washington, DC – The Miami Marlins have recalled pitchers Brad Hand and Chris Hatcher from Triple-A New Orleans.
Hand is scheduled to start the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the Nationals. He will be making his first appearance in the majors this season after going 1-8 for the Marlins in 2011.
The left-hander went 8-5 with a 3.66 ERA in 22 starts for New Orleans this year.
Hatcher has appeared in two games for Miami this season.
The Marlins also optioned pitcher Dan Jennings to New Orleans. He was 1-0 with a 3.27 ERA in 11 games.
