Gabby Douglas' victory in the all-around gymnastics competition has a lot of people pretty pleased. Let's start with Gabby:
"That was awesome, seeing the flag raised and you're on top and the national anthem just playing," says Douglas. "You feel like you're in a concert. All these flashes ... I'm living on Cloud Nine."
Douglas also spoke about her status as the first African-American to take the gold in all-around... sort of.
Someone mentioned that I was the first black American (to win the all-around gold), and I said, 'Oh yeah, I forgot about that!' I feel so honored," she said with a laugh.
She also took to Twitter after earning gold:
WOW such an AMAZING experience! Thank you all for your support, love and prayers love you all!!!

While on twitter, she noticed other people were talking about her, including gymnastics aficionado Lil Wayne.
"
@liltunechi: Glad i lived to see what Gabby Douglas did in the Olympics. Icon." WOW!!!! Im speechless Thank you SOO MUCH!! — Gabrielle Douglas (@gabrielledoug) August 3, 2012
However, her choice to respond to Lil Wayne's congratulations angered fellow rapper Nicki Minaj, who felt slighted.
Oh wow, I tweeted about
#Gabby earlier but she responds to@liltunechi and not me? U know what? Ima fight u. I've had it!!! — Nicki Minaj (@NICKIMINAJ) August 3, 2012
Douglas would later squash the most recent Olympics-related rap industry beef since Tony Parker's eye got hurt in a Drake-Chris Brown nightclub dust-up by responding to Minaj's tweet as well, allowing the world to be at peace.
These reactions are great and all, but probably the best came from her mother, Natalie Hawkins:
