Norwich City has signed defender Michael Turner from Sunderland for an undisclosed fee, it was announced on Saturday.

Turner joins the Canaries on a two-year contract and he becomes the fourth signing this summer for new manager Chris Hughton, joining Jacob Butterfield, Steven Whittaker and Robert Snodgrass.

Hughton told the Norwich City website: "I'm delighted to be able to bring Michael into the squad as he is a player with a wealth of Premier League experience.

"He is joining us at a good age and I'm happy to have been able to welcome him to Norwich City."

The 28-year-old makes the move to Carrow Road after appearing in 110 Premier League matches for Hull City and Sunderland.
