Athens, Greece – Panathinaikos signed Uruguayan forward Bruno Fornaroli from Sampdoria on Saturday on a three-year deal.
Fornaroli, 24, joined Sampdoria in 2008 from Nacional in Uruguay, but had just 17 Serie A appearances for the Italian club. He spent most of that time out on loan with San Lorenzo in Argentina, Recreativo in Spain, and back at Nacional.
