Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper left the opener of Saturday's doubleheader against the Braves after fouling a ball off his left ankle on a bunt attempt in his first at-bat.

Later, he pinch-hit, stole a base and scored a run the nightcap.

Harper hobbled around for a considerable time after the ball ricocheted off his ankle, but he stayed in to complete the at-bat and also played the field through the second inning.

Roger Bernadina was brought in to play center field in the third and Harper was held out of the starting lineup for the nightcap.

Harper had a pinch-hit single in the eighth inning, stole second base and scored an insurance run in a 5-2 win as the Nats split the doubleheader. He remained in the game to play right field in the ninth.
