Nationals OF Harper leaves after ball hits ankle

Washington, DC – Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper left Saturday's opener of a doubleheader after fouling a ball off his left ankle on a bunt attempt in his opening at-bat.

Harper hobbled around for a considerable time after the ball ricocheted off his ankle, but stayed in to complete the at bat and also played the field through the second inning.

Roger Bernadina, however, was brought in to play center field in the third and Harper remained out of the lineup for the nightcap.
