Twente signs Bulykin to fill De Jong void

Enschede, Netherlands – Twente announced Friday that it has signed striker Dmitri Bulykin on a free transfer from Ajax.

The move comes just two days after star striker Luuk de Jong was sold to Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach.

Bulykin, 32, put pen to paper on a one-year deal at De Grolsch Veste. He netted nine goals in 19 league appearances for Ajax last season and has produced seven goals in 15 matches for the Russian national team.
