The Denver Nuggets have re-signed center JaVale McGee to a multi-year contract.

"JaVale did a tremendous job for us after the trade," Denver vice president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri said upon the announcement on Wednesday. "He worked hard on the court and did everything our coaches asked of him. Plus, he's only 24 years old. With our coaching staff, he's only going to get better."

In a combined 61 games with the Wizards and Nuggets last season, McGee averaged 11.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.16 blocks per contest. He was acquired in a multi-team trade

The former first-round pick of Washington in 2008, McGee has posted averages of 8.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks over 275 career appearances.
