Oakland, CA – The Oakland Athletics activated outfielder Collin Cowgill from the 15-day disabled list Tuesday and optioned him to Triple-A Sacramento.
Cowgill, who was on the DL since June 23 with a sprained left ankle, had rehab assignments with Single-A Stockton and Sacramento.
He batted .271 with one homer, nine RBI and a .343 on-base percentage in 32 games for the A's this season.
