Minneapolis, MN – The Baltimore Orioles have recalled pitcher Chris Tillman from Double-A Bowie.
Tillman, who won his only start with the Orioles earlier this season, will get the nod Monday night as Baltimore takes on the Minnesota Twins.
The 6-foot-5 right-hander allowed two unearned runs over 8 1/3 innings at Seattle on July 4.
Over 16 appearances -- 15 starts -- for Triple-A Norfolk this season, Tillman posted an 8-8 record with a 3.63 earned run average and 92 strikeouts. He made one start for Bowie, surrendering three runs on four hits in just 3 1/3 innings.
