Chris Killmer fired a 7-under 64 on Friday to take a commanding lead after the second round of the Canadian Tour Players Cup.

Killmer finished 36 holes at 12-under 130 and is four shots ahead at Pine Ridge Golf Club.

"I made a lot of putts today," said Killmer. "I hit a lot of good iron shots, but mainly just got the putter rolling and allowed myself to keep moving in the right direction."

Vince Covello (68) and Darren Wallace (65) share second at 8-under 134.

Jon McLean (68), Mark Hubbard (67) and Micah Burke (67) are tied for fourth at minus-7.

Killmer began the second round on the 10th tee and tallied four birdies on his opening side. He rattled off three birdies in a four-hole span from the third to post his huge lead.

Matt Richardson (67) and David Lang (68) are tied for seventh at 6-under par.

NOTES: Killmer is winless on the Canadian Tour ... First-round leader Alex Quiroz struggled to a 7-over 78 and actually missed the cut by a stroke at plus-1.
