The Texas Rangers activated pitcher Derek Holland off the 15-day disabled list on Saturday, and he will start the night game against the Minnesota Twins.

On the disabled list since June 7, retroactively to June 6, with left shoulder fatigue, Holland has a 5-4 record with a 5.10 earned run average in 12 games, 11 starts, heading into Saturday's action.

To open up a spot for Holland, the team optioned pitcher Justin Grimm to Double-A Frisco of the Texas League.

Grimm's contract was purchased from Frisco on June 16 and he earned his first win in his first Major League start against Houston that day. He is 1-1 with a 10.80 ERA in three games (two starts) this season.
