New York, NY – The New York Rangers agreed to terms with forward Arron Asham on Sunday.
The deal was for two years and $2 million, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. The Rangers didn't immediately release terms.
Asham, 34, played the last two seasons for the Penguins, scoring 10 goals with 17 assists.
He has 92 goals, 206 points and 940 penalty minutes in 13 NHL seasons, also playing for the Canadiens, Islanders, Devils and Flyers.
The Rangers are the only Atlantic Division team Asham hasn't skated for.
The Penguins re-signed Asham to a one-year deal worth $775,000 last June but didn't make him an offer to stay this time, the Tribune-Review reported.
The winger was suspended four games during the playoffs this past season for a high cross-check in the throat on Flyers forward Brayden Schenn.
