Eugene, OR – Allyson Felix coasted to a convincing win in the final of the women's 200 meters Saturday at the U.S. Track & Field Olympic Trials.
Felix, a three-medal winner at the Summer Games, clocked in at a personal-best 21.69 seconds, the third fastest American time ever.
Carmelita Jeter finished in second (22.11) while Sanya Richards-Ross crossed the line in third (22.22) to qualify for London.
Aries Merritt was victorious in the final of the men's 110-meter hurdles, ending the race in 12.93 seconds. Reigning world champion Jason Richardson (12.98) finished in second and Jeffrey Porter (13.08) took third.
A pair of Florida Gators, Christian Taylor and William Claye, qualified for the Olympics in the men's triple jump.
The reigning world champion, Taylor, won with a leap of 57 feet, 10 1/4 inches, while Claye was the runner-up at 57 feet, 7 inches.
Chaunte Lowe cleared 6 feet, 7 inches and won the high jump. Brigetta Barrett had a personal-best leap of 6-7 to finish second, while Amy Acuff took third with 6-4 3/4.
Hyleas Fountain finished with 6,419 points to win the heptathlon. Sharon Day was second and Chante McMillan placed third.
