Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto has taken the lead in All-Star voting for the National League.

Votto had 4,475,180 votes in the fourth update from Major League Baseball released Tuesday, supplanting injured Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp.

Kemp, who has a strained hamstring, leads all NL outfielders with 4,118,524 votes. Carlos Beltran of the Cardinals maintained the second starting outfield spot while the Brewers' Ryan Braun jumped ahead of San Francisco's Melky Cabrera for the final starting outfield position.

Braves second baseman Dan Uggla, Cardinals shortstop Rafael Furcal, Giants catcher Buster Posey and Mets third baseman David Wright continued to lead their respective positions in voting.

The All-Star Game will be played July 10 at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
