The Milwaukee Brewers have activated pitcher Marco Estrada from the 15-day disabled list and named him the starter for Tuesday's contest with the Cincinnati Reds.

Estrada landed on the DL after injuring his right quadriceps while running to second in the first inning of an 8-5 victory against the San Francisco Giants on May 23.

The 28-year-old was 0-3 with a 4.50 earned run average and 34 strikeouts this season.

To make room for Estrada on the roster, Milwaukee optioned pitcher Mike McClendon to Triple-A Nashville.

McClendon, who was called up for Estrada when he landed on the DL, made four appearances for the Brewers, giving up six runs on 13 hits over eight innings.
