Phoenix, AZ – The Arizona Diamondbacks placed first baseman Lyle Overbay on the paternity leave list Wednesday.
Overbay, 35, is hitting .339 with two home runs and six RBI in 28 games this season.
In addition, the D-backs recalled outfielder A.J. Pollock from Triple-A Reno. He was hitting .348 with 10 doubles and 14 RBI in 26 games with Reno.
