Los Angeles, CA Sports Network) - Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy will undergo surgery on his broken right hand on Thursday and is expected to miss six weeks.

Lucroy suffered the injury on Sunday night in his Los Angeles hotel room when his wife dropped a suitcase on his hand while he was reaching under the bed. He was placed on the disabled list Monday and sent back to Milwaukee for further examination on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old has appeared in 43 games for the Brewers this season, batting .345 with 10 doubles, five home runs and 30 RBI.
