Paris, France – France coach Laurent Blanc cut midfielder Yoan Gourcuff and defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa on Tuesday as he finalized the Euro 2012 roster.
Blanc initially named a 26-man provisional roster, and after Loic Remy dropped out last week due to injury, Gourcuff and Yanga-Mbiwa were the last two to go to reach the 23-player limit.
Gourcuff has played 29 times for France but struggled over the last season for Lyon, and Yanga-Mbiwa played well for Montpellier but has yet to play for the national team.
France plays Serbia and Estonia in pre-Euro friendlies before its Group D game against England on June 11. France also plays Sweden and co-host Ukraine in the group stage.
