Seattle, WA – The Texas Rangers have placed pitcher Neftali Feliz on the 15-day disabled list with right elbow inflammation.
Feliz is 3-1 with a 3.16 ERA in eight games (seven starts) for Texas this season.
To take Feliz's place on the roster, the Rangers recalled pitcher Yoshinori Tateyama from Triple-A Round Rock.
Tateyama made his MLB debut with Texas in 2011, going 2-0 with a 4.50 ERA in 39 relief outings.
The 36-year-old Tateyama started this season on the 15-day disabled list with a low back muscle strain, before being optioned to Round Rock on March 14. He went 1-0 with one save and a 0.54 ERA in 12 relief appearances for the Express this year.
