Cubs acquire Koyie Hill from Reds

Chicago, IL – The Chicago Cubs have acquired catcher Koyie Hill from the Cincinnati Reds for cash considerations.

The switch-hitter batted .195 with three doubles, one home run and five RBI in 14 games with Cincinnati's Double-A Pensacola affiliate this season.

Hill played for the Cubs from 2007-11, hitting .208 with seven home runs and 63 RBI in 252 contests.

The 33-year-old has appeared in 302 career games with the Dodgers, Diamondbacks and Cubs, batting .211 with eight homers and 75 RBI.
