Milan, Italy – AC Milan moved to within one point of leaders Juventus with two games to play after the Rossoneri grabbed a 2-0 win over Atalanta at the San Siro on Wednesday.
Sulley Muntari struck the opener inside of 10 minutes and Robinho netted the second goal in stoppage time to revive Milan's title hopes.
The win is the fourth in five games for Milan while Atalanta had won three of its previous four but is still comfortably above the drop zone.
Kevin-Prince Boateng was the creator of the first goal with a lobbed pass inside the area that Muntari calmly finished.
The hosts controlled play in the second half as well but had to wait until stoppage time for the win to be secured as Robinho followed up a shot from Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score on the rebound.
Juventus 1, Lecce 1
Turin, Italy - Juventus had its title march slowed a bit on Wednesday as the Old Lady was held to a 1-1 draw at home by relegation-battling Lecce.
Having won its last eight games, Juve looked to be a good bet for a ninth win on the bounce when Claudio Marchisio fired the hosts in front after seven minutes.
Things looked even better when Lecce was reduced to 10 men after Juan Cuadrado was sent off in the 53rd minute.
But Andrea Bertolacci's goal five minutes from time stunned Juve and not only made the title race more interesting, but handed Lecce a valuable point in its bid to survive relegation.
Juve is one point clear of Milan after the result while Lecce sits three adrift of 17th-place Genoa.
Genoa 2, Cagliari 1
Genoa, Italy - Genoa claimed three huge points on Wednesday by securing a 2-1 home win against Cagliari to move the club three points above the bottom three.
A goal from Rodrigo Palacio in the 10th minute handed Genoa a much-needed positive start. However, his goal was canceled out just two minutes later by Cagliari's Lorenzo Ariaudo.
Having lost three straight games Genoa was in danger of allowing Lecce to creep even closer, but Bosko Jankovic's goal 15 minutes from time handed them a huge win that could prove vital in the survival race.
Bologna 1, Catania 0
Catania, Italy - Bologna's unbeaten streak reached six games on Wednesday after a 1-0 road win at Catania.
The victory moves Bologna one point ahead of Catania and into the top half of the league.
Gaston Ramirez provided the lone goal for the visitors in the 79th minute, lifting them into ninth place.
Udinese 1, Cesena 0
Cesena, Italy - Udinese had a tough time with last-place Cesena on Wednesday but did enough to secure a 1-0 away win.
The only goal of the contest came in the fourth minute courtesy of Diego Fabbrini, while the visitors held on for their second win in five games to stay level on 58 points with Napoli in the race for third place.
Cesena will finish the season on the bottom of the league having lost its last three games following five straight draws.
Fiorentina 2, Novara 2
Florence, Italy - Riccardo Montolivo brought Fiorentina back from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw against Novara on Wednesday as the Italy international netted twice after halftime.
Second-from-the-bottom Novara surprised the home side with two goals in the first 30 minutes, with Neves Jeda tallying the opener and Marco Rigoni converting from the penalty spot.
But Montolivo gave his team life in the 48th minute with a goal before scoring the equalizer with 20 minutes to play, leaving the Viola six points above the relegation zone with two games to play.
Lazio 1, Siena 1
Rome, Italy - Lazio continues to limp toward the finish line as the capital club was held to a 1-1 home draw by Siena on Wednesday.
Mattia Destro's first-half tally put Lazio behind, and the hosts were only able to muster up one goal after the break with Cristian Ledesma scoring from the penalty spot.
Lazio's winless streak has reached five games but the club still sits only two points back of third place.
Parma 3, Inter Milan 1
Parma, Italy - Inter Milan had its late-season momentum halted on Wednesday after conceding three goals in the second half of a 3-1 defeat at Parma.
Wesley Sneijder scored early on for Inter but watched as Fernando Marques, Sebastian Giovinco and Jonathan Biabiany each found the net for Parma, which won its fifth straight game.
Inter's six-match unbeaten run came to an end and it leaves the Nerazzurri three points adrift of third place.
