The Denver Nuggets said Tuesday that forward Wilson Chandler had successful arthroscopic surgery on his left hip.

The procedure to repair a labral tear was performed Monday and Chandler is expected to be ready for the start of training camp in October.

Chandler, 24, averaged 9.4 points and 5.1 rebounds in eight games for the Nuggets during the regular season.

He re-signed a multi-year deal with the team in March after playing in China, where he went during the NBA lockout.

The Nuggets are playing the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the playoffs.
