Wigan's rich vein of form continued Saturday as the Latics claimed a resounding 4-0 victory over Newcastle at the DW Stadium.

Roberto Martinez's side has won five of its last seven Premier League contests to climb further away from danger. The club sits fifth from bottom on 37 points, three points clear of the drop.

The impressive win against the Magpies came as a result of four first-half goals.

Victor Moses scored twice inside the opening 15 minutes, heading home a cross in the 13th minute before doubling the advantage two minutes later with a well- taken finish from close range.

Shaun Maloney made it three for the home side before Franco di Santo's goal from distance put the match beyond any doubt just before the break.

The result sees Newcastle's six-game winning run and four-game shutout streak come to an end. The Magpies are hopeful of finishing fourth in England's top flight to clinch a Champions League qualification berth, but their tough run-in down the stretch sees them face Chelsea, Manchester City and Everton.

Everton 4, Fulham 0

Liverpool, England - Everton extended its unbeaten streak to six games Saturday, dismantling Fulham, 4-0, at Goodison Park.

Nikica Jelavic scored twice while Marouane Fellaini and Tim Cahill chipped in with a goal apiece to see the Toffees collect their 19th straight home win against Fulham.

The result sees the Cottagers, sitting ninth on 46 points, suffer defeat for the first time in a month.

Swansea City 4, Wolverhampton 4

Swansea, Wales - Swansea City and Wolverhampton were on point in front of goal Saturday as the two teams played a 4-4 draw at the Liberty Stadium.

Andrea Orlandi, Joe Allen and Nathan Dyer gave the Swans a comfortable cushion before Steven Fletcher pulled one back for the visitors. Danny Graham restored Swansea's three-goal lead, but Wolves battled back in a gutsy performance to equalize through Matt Jarvis (who netted a brace) and David Edwards.

Wolves have been relegated already, but Swansea is safe in the Premier League for another season as the club sits 10 points clear of danger with two games to go.

Stoke City 1, Arsenal 1

Stoke-on-Trent, England - Arsenal surrendered a goal inside 10 minutes but struck quickly to equalize in a 1-1 draw with Stoke City at the Britannia on Saturday.

Peter Crouch's header gave the Potters a dream start on their home ground, but Robin van Persie quieted the fans just five minutes later to earn a share of the points.

The Gunners have drawn two in a row to retain third place on 66 points. Stoke City's 43 points this season leave the club nine points above the relegation zone.

Sunderland 2, Bolton 2

Sunderland, England - Bolton's hopes of survival took a hit Saturday as the Trotters were held to a 2-2 draw against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Kevin Davies put the visitors in front but the Black Cats took control thanks to goals from Nicklas Bendtner and James McClean. Davies ultimately rescued a point for a Bolton, completing his brace 20 minutes from time.

Owen Coyle's side sits third from bottom on 34 points, narrowly sitting in the relegation zone on goal differential. Sunderland has drawn three in a row to improve to 45 points.

Liverpool 3, Norwich City 0

Norwich, England - Luiz Suarez netted a superb hat trick at Carrow Road on Saturday to lift Liverpool to a 3-0 victory and hand Norwich City a third successive loss.

The Uruguayan scored four minutes apart in the first half before sealing his fine performance with a loft from 40 yards out to catch John Ruddy off his line.

The Reds have little to play for in the Premier League with a top-six finish out of reach. They will focus on their FA Cup final clash against Chelsea in May.

West Bromwich 0, Aston Villa 0

West Bromwich, England - West Bromwich and Aston Villa played a 0-0 stalemate at the Hawthorns on Saturday, a result that does neither side any favors.

Shay Given provided the lone moment of brilliance, producing a fine save on Peter Odemwingie's late effort to preserve a point and help Aston Villa claim a 16th draw of the season.
