Kansas City Royals outfielder Lorenzo Cain suffered a setback during a rehab assignment on Tuesday.

The team announced that the left hip flexor issue would cause him to remain on the disabled list, and that he would be re-evaluated on Thursday.

Cain suffered the injury while making a running catch in the second inning of the Royals' 3-0 victory over the Oakland Athletics on April 10th. Kansas City placed Cain on the DL on April 13, and had hoped to have him back in the lineup sometime this week.

Through five games this season, the 26-year-old has a .133 batting average (2- for-15) with an RBI and a walk.
