Suazo scored in the 60th and the 86th minutes.

The second leg in April 25 at Santos Laguna's Corona stadium in Torreon, Mexico.

Monterrey had an edge in possession, shots and corners but was unable to break through until Suazo scored on a pass from Jesus Aldo de Nigris. Suazo's second goal came on an individual effort as he beat several defenders before slotting the ball home.
