The Minnesota Vikings signed linebacker Marvin Mitchell and cornerback Chris Carr, both free agents.

Terms of the signings, announced Tuesday, were not disclosed.

Mitchell spent last season with the Miami Dolphins after playing his first four years for the New Orleans Saints. He had 30 tackles and one interception in 16 games as a backup.

Carr played the last three seasons for the Baltimore Ravens. The seven-year veteran made 19 tackles in nine games, including one start. His first career interception, with the Oakland Raiders in 2006, was returned 100 yards for a touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
