Los Angeles, CA – The Los Angeles Kings will have to deal without center Brad Richardson for an indefinite period, following an appendectomy on Monday night.
Richardson, 27, played in just 59 regular-season games while posting five goals and eight points with a minus-six rating.

To fill the roster spot, the Kings recalled forward Andrei Loktionov from Manchester of the American Hockey League. The 21-year-old Russian appeared in 39 games and totaled three goals with seven points.
