Arron Afflalo scored 19 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, as Denver continued its push for a playoff spot with a 99-88 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats.

Corey Brewer added 17 points in a reserve role for the Nuggets, who entered Friday tied with Utah and Houston for the seventh and eighth seeds in the Western Conference. Denver bounced back from a nine-point loss at Toronto Wednesday night and is 2-3 on a seven-game road trip with upcoming stops in Orlando and New Orleans.

Al Harrington posted 10 points and 11 rebounds, while Ty Lawson scored 14 in the win.

The Bobcats, losers of six in a row, were led by Gerald Henderson's 21 points.

Charlotte, which shot just 36.7 percent, was kept in this game by forcing 25 turnovers. That led to 28 points for the hosts, but the Bobcats went just 17- of-54 from the field over the final two quarters.
