Charlotte Motor Speedway and Sprint officials announced significant changes in the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race format Tuesday.

The 90-lap race, scheduled May 19 at CMS, will be run in five segments of 20, 20, 20, 20 and 10 laps.

The winners of each of the four segments will be lined up at the front of the field to pit first before the start of the final 10-lap "shootout" segment.
