Philip Humber allowed an unearned run and one hit in seven innings, and the Chicago White Sox beat the San Francisco Giants 5-2 Sunday.

Humber struck out five and walked two. The Giants scored their run against Humber in the first inning after a walk and a throwing error by White Sox shortstop Eduardo Escobar.

Brandon Crawford hit a single off Humber in the second inning.

Giants starter Barry Zito allowed consecutive homers to A.J. Pierzynski and Alex Rios in the third and five runs overall in 2 1-3 innings. He gave up nine hits, struck out three and walked two.

San Francisco reliever Scott Munter left with a left calf strain after pitching to one batter in the third inning. He was injured while running to cover first base on a grounder by Escobar.
