The Toronto Raptors waived forward Rasual Butler on Friday.

"We want to thank Rasual for bringing professionalism and hard work to our team every day," said Raptors president and general manager Bryan Colangelo. "This move allows us the option to look at other wing prospects down the stretch of the season while affording Rasual the opportunity to potentially sign with and help a playoff-bound team."

Butler, 32, averaged 3.2 points and 1.9 rebounds in 34 games with the Raptors this season.

The 10-year NBA veteran has averaged 8.2 points and 2.6 rebounds in 638 career games.
