The Oakland Raiders re-signed veteran offensive lineman Khalif Barnes on Thursday.

Barnes, 29, started all 16 games at right tackle for Oakland last season. He was part of an offensive line that set a franchise record by allowing only 25 sacks.

"Khalif has been a steady performer on the offensive line and we're glad that he is returning to the Raiders in 2012," said Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie.

The Washington product has played in 98 career games (78 starts) with the Jaguars and Raiders.
