Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Curtis Sanford was helped off the ice Sunday in the first period against Calgary with an apparent injury.

Sanford had just covered up the puck after a flurry in the Columbus zone and looked to be in pain as he labored off, his arms around the shoulders of two teammates.

Steve Mason came in to replace him.

Sanford was activated off injured reserve Feb. 22 after missing around two weeks with a lower body injury.
