Rangers G Lundqvist out with flu

The New York Rangers announced Tuesday that goaltender Henrik Lundqvist will be a late scratch due to the flu.

Backup Martin Biron will get the nod at Madison Square Garden when the Blueshirts host the Carolina Hurricanes.

New York recalled goaltender Chad Johnson from Connecticut of the American Hockey League to serve as Biron's reserve.

Lundqvist was held out of the morning practice session due to the illness, and Biron will make his 18th start of the year.
