Orioles OF Reimold hit in face by pitch

Port Charlotte, FL – Baltimore Orioles outfielder Nolan Reimold was hit in the face by a pitch during Friday's spring training game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Rays starter Alex Cobb hit Reimold in the left side of his face in the first inning. Reimold immediately went to the ground and stayed there for several minutes while being examined by the training staff.

Reimold remained conscious the entire time and was carted off the field. He was taken to Peace River Hospital, where he was said to be awake and alert.
