Orlando Magic swingman Hedo Turkoglu was suspended one game for making contact with a game official, NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson announced on Friday.

The incident came with 3:47 left in the fourth quarter of Orlando's 99-94 win over the Chicago Bulls on Thursday. Joakim Noah came up with a block of a Turkoglu's layup attempt. Turkoglu wanted a foul call and went to plead his case to official Karl Lane, but made contact by lightly putting his hands on the shoulders of the referee.

Lane called Turkoglu for a technical foul.

In 39 games this season, Turkoglu is averaging 11.2 points, 4.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds. He will sit out Sunday's game when the Magic host Indiana.
