Pacquiao touts Bradley fight, teases retirement

Published November 20, 2014

Associated Press

When Manny Pacquiao failed to make a deal with Floyd Mayweather Jr. for the fight he knows his fans want to see, he moved down the list of contenders to make a fight he hopes his fans will enjoy.

Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley Jr. got an early start Tuesday on the promotional circuit for their welterweight bout June 9 at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas.

The Filipino congressman realizes he'll have to do plenty of promoting to get fans interested in a fight against Bradley, an undefeated 140-pound champion from Palm Springs, Calif., who has never been in a fraction of the spotlight that follows Pacquiao across the globe.

Bradley can't quite believe his good fortune, saying he's grateful to Pacquiao for choosing to fight him.
