Washington, DC – Howard football will kick off the 2012 season against Morehouse College in the Second Annual Nation's Football Classic Sept. 1 at RFK Stadium.
Last year, Howard's FCS program beat Division II Morehouse, 30-27.
Howard will play five home games against Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference opponents: Savannah State (Sept. 29); Florida A&M (Oct. 6); Morgan State (Oct. 20, Homecoming); Hampton (Nov. 3); and Delaware State (Nov. 17).
The Bison will play one FBS opponent when they travel to Rutgers on Sept. 8. They also face a difficult non-conference road game at Southern Conference power Georgia Southern on Nov. 10.
Within the MEAC, Howard's road games are against defending champion Norfolk State (Sept. 15), North Carolina A&T (Oct. 13) and South Carolina State (Oct. 27).
The Bison finished 5-6 in coach Gary Harrell's first season last year.
