Updated

Two games with the Chicago Blackhawks are featured this week as the NHL continues its march toward the playoffs. First up, the Blackhawks host the Detroit Red Wings in a key Central Division matchup. The Wings and Hawks have each taken their place atop the Central Division standings at some point in the season and perhaps no division is bunched tighter than the Central with four teams all within several points of the lead. Chicago is an offensive juggernaut with former Red Wing Marian Hossa leading the team in scoring while Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane are also among the league's leading scorers. Not to be outdone, the Redwings boast a formidable offense with Pavel Datsyuk, Johan Franzen, and Vaitteri Flippula among the league's top scorers. The difference maker could be on defense where the Red Wings, as always, play tough and limit teams to under 2.5 goals. Next up, Chicago hosts the Dallas Stars, a team that started out as the hottest team in the league, but now finds itself in a four-way battle for the tough Pacific Division. These two teams are fairly evenly matched, and both find themselves in a heated race making for a playoff atmosphere in February. Tune in as NHL action heats up all month long on FOX Sports.
