New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is active for the Super Bowl.

Gronkowski had been listed as questionable on the injury report for Sunday's game against the New York Giants because of a high left ankle sprain he suffered in the AFC Championship Game, but was expected by many to play.

The Patriots' inactive list included quarterback Ryan Mallett, running backs Kevin Faulk and Shane Vereen, linebacker Gary Guyton, guard Donald Thomas, center Nick McDonald and defensive tackle Ron Brace.

The Giants' inactives are running back Da'Rel Scott, wide receiver Ramses Barden, center Jim Cordle, tackle James Brewer, defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy, defensive end Justin Trattou and linebacker Mark Herzlich.
