Carl Hagelin of the New York Rangers won the fastest skater challenge at the NHL SuperSkills competition.

Skating against Colin Greening of the Ottawa Senators in the rookie race, Hagelin, who is a member of Team Alfredsson, posted a time of 12.963 seconds while Greening skated to a 12.993 time, which was the fastest for both sides.

That qualified the two for an extra skate, and Hagelin won that one with a time of 13.218 while Greening was just back with a time of 13.303.

In the other races, Kris Letang of Pittsburgh won a point for Team Alfredsson in the defensemen race as he edged out Brian Campbell of Florida, 14.301 to 14.826

Jonathan Quick of Los Angeles skated a time of 16.939 to beat out Jimmy Howard of Detroit, who had a time of 17.514, to win another point for Team Alfredsson.

Phil Kessel of Toronto got Chara's team its only point of the race as he beat out Keith Yandle of Phoenix, 13.203 to 13.731

Erik Karlsson of Ottawa cruised to a time of 13.021 to beat out Chicago's Marian Hossa with a 13.343.

Team Alfredsson won five points in the competition while Team Chara got just one.
