The New York Yankees re-signed veteran outfielder year contract.

Jones batted .247 with 13 home runs and 33 RBI in 77 games last season. By staying with the Yankees, the 34-year-old snaps a trend that saw him play for a different club each of the past five seasons.

Since breaking into the majors with Atlanta at the end of 1996, Jones is a .256 hitter with 376 doubles, 420 homers and 1,255 RBI over 2,102 games with the Braves, Dodgers, Rangers, White Sox and Yankees.

The native of Curacao is a five-time All-Star and a 10-time Gold Glove Award winner.
