AC Milan has acquired midfielder Djamel Mesbah from Lecce, it was confirmed on Wednesday.

A statement from Lecce read: "Lecce announces it has sold Algerian midfielder Djamel Mesbah to AC Milan on a permanent transfer.

"In the same transaction, the Salentini club has brought to an end the loan move of midfielder Rodney Strasser, who returns to Milan, and acquired half of the sporting rights of striker David Speziale, who will wear the Lecce colors from next season."

The 27-year-old Mesbah has tallied one goal in 12 Serie A appearances for Lecce this season, while also featuring in two games for Algeria's national team, including a substitute appearance at the 2010 World Cup.
