Chelsea announced Monday that it has completed the signing of central defender Gary Cahill from Bolton for an undisclosed fee believed to be approximately $11 million.

After weeks of speculation, Cahill finally put pen to paper on a deal after watching his new club earn a 1-0 win over Sunderland on Saturday.

Cahill becomes the fifth current England international to suit up for the Blues, joining John Terry, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, and Daniel Sturridge.

"Chelsea is a massive club, it is a club that looks to win trophies season in season out," said Cahill. "It is a big opportunity for me to be a part of that. Opportunities like this you can't turn down."

The 26-year-old made 130 appearances at Bolton, scoring 15 goals.
