Frisco, TX – The Dallas Stars placed defenseman Sheldon Souray on injured reserve Monday.
The move, which is retroactive to December 23, is due to a sprained ankle that he suffered in a game against Nashville.
Souray, 35, is in his first season with Dallas and has four goals and 12 assists over 34 games.
To take his spot on the roster, the team recalled defenseman Brenden Dillion from Texas of the American Hockey League.
