Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Deryk Engelland has been suspended three games for his unpenalized hit on Chicago's Marcus Kruger on Tuesday night.

At the 8:55 mark of the first period, Engelland left his feet and launched himself into Kruger, driving his left forearm into the forward's head.

Kruger has been diagnosed with a concussion.

Engelland is eligible to return on New Year's Eve against New Jersey.
